A few years ago, I was telling my now-husband about a dystopian novel I was considering writing in which people had parties for abortions the way people now have baby showers. He's one of those very sweet people who never wants to believe anything bad about anybody and said he couldn't imagine any society doing that.
ReplyDeleteThis Kasey Locksworth confuses me in that she seems psyched about celebrating her abortion but still worries if God will forgive her. I wonder how much of the "woo-hoo-a-party" attitude is her being an awful human being and how much is her trying to act like it's no big deal because she knows deep down that it is.
Yep. She ran straight to validation and attagirls from her friends before deciding to abort. Sheep.
