  2. I'll believe it when I see it. She probably means "It SAVED MY LIEEEEFFFFEEE!" in some abstract, metaphorical, not-really way. Just like all the others.

  4. Because the best thing to do when your husband is dying of cancer is to kill the child he just gave you. And adoption wasn't an option because the baby was mixed-race. Instead of giving him/her a chance to live and be adopted with someone who would love them, or temporary placement in foster care, or EVEN SIGNING UP FOR OR INCREASING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE BENEFITS...nope. Dead baby. Of course. Because that's the best thing you can do for someone getting ready to die, kill their legacy.

  5. Must have been a great comfort to him knowing that his kid deliberately preceded him in death. Wouldn't you totally be at peace knowing if your life was ending, your kid's might as well too? It's not like the kid deserved to live-it just would have gotten in mommy's way and 'sapped her energy'-no legacy there, why be reminded of of what she lost? Death penalty.

I'm sorry, but they keep dreaming up all these excuses that are supposed to make child-killing okay, and then act like WE'RE the assholes because we still defend the lives of those children, no matter what. NOTHING is going to make electively having your child killed hunky-dory with us, guys. Okay? Can you please get that through your thick fucking skulls? NOTHING is going to make child-killing okay. "But her husband was dying of cancer after she'd been raped and just lost her job after giving birth to twins and it was 'Free Icee Friday' at Burger King but by the time she got there they were all out and her horoscope said 'trouble ahead' and she even double-checked with the Magic 8 Ball and blah blah blah blah blah!" No. STILL not okay. BECAUSE KILLING YOUR CHILD IS *NEVER* THE SOLUTION TO *YOUR* PROBLEMS.
