Charging the Unborn with Matricide?

How's about we charge your lot for intentional feticide for all your abortions? Better yet, let's charge you for public stupidity-a guaranteed win.

  1. Want a real answer, morons? A person isn't responsible under the law for actions they did not intend and had no power to prevent. That's why we consider a miscarriage or stillbirth a tragedy and a medically unnecessary abortion a moral crime: because elective abortion is, as you all are so fond of saying, a CHOICE ... which babies don't have ... which is why we feel the need to defend them.

  2. They don't grasp that concept. I just had another one this morning tell me how the ONLY differences between obtaining an elective abortion and a zygote failing to implant is "a few weeks and a few hundred dollars". And as I said, she is not the only one to have made this claim to me. It's like the concepts of things like "intent" and "willful actions" are notions utterly beyond their comprehension. It's like they live in a world where crap just happens. Sex just happens, so they "need" an abortion, and abortion is something that "just happens", like miscarriage, and abortion is not something you have to schedule out and pay for.

  3. You must have been talking to 'notmuchelse'. Not the sharpest tool in the shed.

  4. Yeah, I was going to tell her it was obvious she was a teen mom, since she didn't seem intelligent enough to have completed much education, but there's no reason to denigrate teen mothers like that, since I went to high school with a few who turned out to be quite bright and successful. Eventually I just gave up trying to talk to her, since she seemed to be lacking basic reading comprehension and hanging her entire argument on the fact that the word "gestating" has at least two meanings.
