Right? Stupid doctors that tell you the gestational age of your pregnancy tissue! It's all nine months of non-existence until the prochoice fairy waves the magic wand at birth and then...poof! How can anyone argue with science like that! It totally says so in these embryology and biology texts:
They develop and change at a faster rate than they ever will again, progressing from a single cell to a being that can learn, feel, respond, and communicate. They just don't age. Kind of like middle-aged socialites, except the fetus has a more impressive list of accomplishments.
ReplyDeleteAlso: there's no possible reason for wanting to know how far along you are, right? Gestational age doesn't have anything to do with proper prenatal care ... or knowing when you can reasonably expect to go into labor... or for that matter what abortion method is "appropriate" should that be your choice. No, it's all just propaganda.
